Coaches Comments:
Congratulations to the 7th grade volleyball team!  They defeated Auburn JHS in the first Final Four match last night to capture 3rd place in State!  It was another great team effort as the girls finished their season with  a win and a 3rd place trophy.  The girls ended their season with a 22 - 3 record.   Two of the their three losses were to the 3A and 4A State Champions this year.

Coaches Comments:
In 8th grade Sectional volleyball action last night, the Hornets gave undefeated and last year's champion, Peru Parkside, a tough match. The Hornets finished up their season playing some great volleyball especially at the end of the season and on into Regionals and Sectionals.  Congratulations girls on a great season! Coach Morin and Coach Pyle are very proud of you.

In Semi-final action Saturday afternoon, the Hornets fought hard but lost a nail biter to a 22 - 1 Pleasant Plains team.  The girls will now play for 3rd place in State against Auburn JHS on Tuesday at 5:30PM.   The fan bus will leave school at 3:00PM Tuesday. Please sign-up in the office, cost $3.  Come and support the the 7th grade team as they finish up a great season and bring home a Final Four State trophy!

In 8th grade Regional Volleyball Championship action last night, the Hornets stung the El Paso-Gridley Titans in an exciting three set match.  The 8th grade team will travel to Fieldcrest to take on Peru Parkside in Sectionals on Monday night at 6:00PM. Good luck girls, your coaches are very proud of you! We will have a fan bus to the game at a cost of $3. Please come and cheer for your Eureka Hornets as they play the school's first ever 8 3A Sectional match!

In second round Regional volleyball action last night at Chillicothe, the Hornets took on the Titans of El Paso-Gridley for the third time this season.  The Hornets lost the first set, but came back to sting the Titans in the last two sets to win the match.  It was a great team effort! The Hornets play for the Regional Championship on Wednesday night at 6:00PM against Chillicothe. Come out and cheer on your Hornets to a victory!
